Hi there
Hey Darren I'm 28
And I'm just going gamble and take my chances, hopefully meet people out and about, I'm going end of may , looking for jobs and applications to apply for, maybe a farm or fruit picking, who knows.. Where you heading 1st ?
:-)
Oh brilliant, I was getting a bit panicky thinking i'll be massively older than everybody... :-)
I was looking for the same work as you, I plan to get a year visa and work/travel around... I probably head to Sydney first, how about you?
I'm starting in Perth 1st as have a friend who lives their, will be heading to Sydney around November/December time, stopping off at south, Adelaide,Melbourne and and ending my 12 months fruit picking in carnis, hopefully,
Been told Sydney is expensive but if get a house share or flat then ill be happy with that.
Yea I was panicking a little as I'm going solo and everyone seems to be 19/23 lol
That's a good place to start I've heard... Have you been to aus before?
I think Sydney is quite expensive, but hopefully save and work enough to help support my travel plans... fingers crossed! So I may start off in perth of Melbourne now you've said that lol
:-) How much do you think is needed?
Sorry for all the questions lol
I suppose age isn't really a factor, if we are traveling then we all have something in common...
Age is a number, it's going to be the experience of a life time, I've got visa booking flight 22feb, one way and once that is booked will be in the mood to look for different things places experiences and jobs todo.
Where you from ?
Ill have just over £3000 with me , according to the aus give, you need $5000 AD so that's just over what I have
Perth will be winter, but already got a place to stay , and maybe a job, none of my friends are like me, I'm off to Sweden next week 3 nights :-)
But if head to Sydney around Christmas time ill happy meet up
Alright lads, I was thinking the same thing. I'm 27 and flying out to Perth on 21st feb, I'm sure there will be lots of young people but also a few of us 'older' travellers too. If we never took this opportunity then we would look back when we're 40 & think what the hell was I thinking, I was in my prime & regret not doing it.
Where are you staying in Perth andosini?
Hey I will be 28 by the time I fly out to Brisbane in July . Any of you thinking about getting your second year visa?
Sounds like quite a good plan andosini, it'll all click into place once the first thing is booked...
I'm from Canterbury in Kent, where are you from? You're very lucky to be going to Sweden, that's in my list lol cool regarding meeting up, I'll keep you posted with plans...
Hi guys,
It's good we're all the same age roughly
It's good these forums to get a good idea what others are up to, also travellers who are ping alone...
I won't be able to get a second year, are you going to get one mate? Also once your year is up, can you get a tourist visa?
