- Dhaka-Sylhet : It will take around 6 hours from Dhaka. Best bus is Shahag paribahan. The fare is Taka 800. You will find buses in the morning (8/9 am, 2 pm and 10.30 p.m).
No you can book online. But you will get instant ticket (Just buy 1 days before the trip)
- Sylhet is safe city. So dont worry a bit.
- It is better to come Dhaka and take Kolkata bus. It will be hassle less for you.

I have one more question. If I travel on my own by bus to Sylhet and back and make arrangement at hotel for my stay what is the way to see around Sylhet for two days I will have . Will it be possible to get local day tours or I have to hire a cab to go around on my own ? Or should I book a Dhaka - Sylhet Dhaka tour for 3 nights 4 days . Can you recommend a Dhaka Sylhet Dhaka tour ?
Sylhet is the place of my ancestors and I have emotional attachment to that place . Will like to see as much as I can . Dhaka Dakhin , Kastoghar lane , MC College - names I have heard from my parents who came back to India in 1947 .
