Hi all!!
Hi,
As far as the local transport and accommodation is concerned in India, there are plenty to choose from ,
Transport:depending on the cities and towns, cheaper flights, trains , buses, taxis, hitch-hiking, etc are possible.
Accommodation: all types of accommodations are available depending on the cities and the prices also could vary, for instance in bigger cities you could get decent hostels for cheaper prices, but in smaller towns you could stay at a decent hotel for the same price.
Thanks for the info!!
I was thinking of mainly doing my trip via train, but is just so time consuming. I'm only in India for around 8weeks and I obviously want to do and see as much as I can in that time.
I'm also having some issues finding accommodation in the more remote locations. There seems to be plenty of male only accommodation in some areas but very little for women. I didn't think of looking into hotels there so thanks for the tip.
There is this chain of hostels called - Zostel. It is always the best place to stay in whichever city they are at. Look them up.
And about the mode of conveyance, in cities, you should travel by metro.
