I am not a very experienced traveller and I am hoping to travel South America. Going solo for now, thinking of doing some group tours. Anyone else traveling South America? Also any advise, Accommodation? Must see attractions? And how safe or dangerous is it there? Any info would be appreciated

It's impossible to answer your questions because you're being WAY too general.
South America has a dozen countries in an area over 2,110 times larger than your home base of Ireland with over 85 times as many people. It's a gigantic piece of real estate with wildly different countries, cultures, politics, etc.
Do some minimal research and at the very least come back with some clue of what you're interested in seeing, what are your likes/dislikes, how much time you have, what time of year, what's your budget, etc. With some details it will be possible for people to throw out some suggestions.
Have fun with your research, you're going to have a gas.

I'm heading to South America in October, starting in Peru with a girl I met on here. We plan on going to Bolivia, Chile, Argentine and then Brazil for the carnival. I knew hardly anything but I did quite a bit of research on here and looking at blogs and there's loads of info out there.

I think I am in a similar situation as you GeraldineM. I am a solo traveler (26 year old, male) from California. Looking for a group to travel with. I kind of have been playing around with the idea of driving a 4 wheel drive truck down from California though. That way I can surf and travel at my own leisure. Is anyone interested in that?
Hey guys! I'm an Australian working in Cali at the moment until beginning of November.
Doing a 5 day inca trail trek to Machu Picchu on the 26th of November and then heading to Bolivia from Peru during end of nov-dec. Looking to make my way down to Iguazu falls (Argentinian side) from La Paz and then hopefully be somewhere cool (preferably Buenos Aires) for New Years.
So main countries in South America i'll be in are Peru, Bolivia (Paraguay- to get to Iguazu) and Argentina.
Anyone interested in meeting up and travelling for a few days would be cool! Have a few main attractions organised however majority of the time I have in main cities I plan on going with the flow day by day.

I would be interested in going to iguazu national park in Argentina near the beginning of December, I will probably be coming from Santiago in Chile and we may not be going around the same time! But we can see closer to it maybe we will be going around the same time
