Hi, Joel, I have been to Jamaica a lot. I absolutely love it! I am a 62 year old woman. My name is Margaret. There are so many places to go and things for you to do. You have a multitude of inexpensive, quality, places to choose from. I have basically stayed in Montego Bay at a villa called "No Problem Villa". If you google that, it will come up. I have also stayed in Negril, which is good for a youngster. I have stayed in "blue Castle". A really beautiful place. It is very inexpensive, but beautiful. It is on the cliffs with the Caribbean Sea as your backdrop. Breath taking views! Right up the road from there is "Rick's Cafe" on the cliffs, also. A party place to watch the breath taking sunsets. I have stayed at "Eddie's Tigress II (2) in Negril. Another beautiful inexpensive spot, with a huge pool. "No Problem Villa" also has a huge pool. Both pools are well maintained and clean, also, with beautiful pool areas. I LOVE nice pools. You can negotiate prices from $40/day to no more than $65/day. I don't know what kind of budget you are looking at, but rooms (or camping) are available from $20/day to thousands/day.

I would love to help with any info I have! November is a really good time of the year. The hurricane season is over and winter prices don't go up until mid-December. The weather is also good because you are not into the rainy season after November 10, or so. The weather is perfect 85 degree (F) days. It is paradise. I would advise staying somewhere locally owned to enjoy the true Jamaican experience. The resorts are nice, but very expensive, and commercialized. They steer you away from the locals, because they want your money and business. Please, if you go, patronize the locals. They work harder, and cheaper, for your patronage. It is their country and they deserve a decent living. They have had tuff lives and work hard to serve you. I know just the person to guide you around. He is honest and trustworthy. You would be very safe with him, or his fellow cabbies. I would never ill advise you. You need to stay safe! I absolutely do love Jamaica and the people. I live in the U.S. and know how to appreciate ALL cultures. If I can be of any help, please let me know. I would love for you to experience Jamaica, but stay safe. There are bad people wherever you go. You have to be smart! It WOULD be a trip of a life time. Enjoy life, especially when you are young! You could be met at the airport!
