Travelling After relationship

Hi guys,
Recently split from a girl whom I'd been with for a year I've taken it extremely hard and unfortunately despite my best efforts getting her back does not seem possible and I'm running myself into the ground... I'm thinking of going to Thailand for a month then Australia this September but I still wanna try sort things out with her! if I go, that will never happen but will it be worth going? Would I just forget about it and be glad I left? Sorry for the mushy post, but I'm hoping someone has been in the same sort of situation who can give me a kick up the ass lol
Thanks

Only you can know if it's time to let go, but travelling is certainly a good way to get your head clear and have space to think about your goals and future.

Step back and be totally honest with yourself... it's over, she's gone, it'll never change, move on.

Have a gas in Thailand and Australia. Travel is the best medicine!

Cheers,
Terry

I think letting go is a very hard part of life unfortunately..I havnt met or spoke to anyone who's gone travelling and regretted it... But at the same time they have happily left knowing it's what they want to do

It is certainly an unfortunate reason to want to go travelling, but as Terry has alluded to, travel is the best medicine. Separating yourself, quite literally from the situation will help you move on (if this is in fact the reality of it, which is always difficult to accept).

All things considered, Thailand is a spectacular country with a lot to do and see. It will give you a different perspective on the world around you and will hopefully lend itself to you finding the peace and tranquillity you need to move on!

Enjoy your time. You owe it to yourself!

I think you need to take private tour packages for travelling after relationship

Yer thanks guys, I'm all booked up and I'm Gona go for it... I'm still young so after time I'll be fine and I think not going and seeing what else is in the world would be a bad decision in itself, it looks amazing and have heard some great things about both places... So next month it's on 😊

Hi there. If you are ready to move on (not just looking for a temporary distraction) I believe travel will be the best medicine because it is a great way to meet a wide variety of interesting people...not so you can go and meet someone else straight away...but so you can realise in an easy, fun way that no matter where you go in this world, there are amazing people. Travel really makes it sink in that 'there are plenty more fish in the sea' and expands your horizons far beyond the person you have been focused on for so long. (If nothing else, just party hard and have fun!)

I understand and i was in the same situation. Took a trip to Cambodia and this country has changed me and helped me to move on. Here's something that will help you if you heed my advice -snip-

I had been a long-distance relationship. We have been split up for 2 years and I seem to be drown in it by now. I don't think trip can heal you. However, wish you a good trip.
