Hi All,
You can't get your Vietnam visa at the border. If you're in Phnom Penh or Sihanoukville they have Viet embassy/consulate so you can get your Vietnam visa in Cambodia. Cost is $45 in Sihanoukville for a 1 month Vietnam visa. You should be able to get your Cambodian visa at the border. Cost is $20. I certainly wouldn't get through the hassle and expense of trying to get your visa before you leave Aus.
Thanks for your quick response,
They say that it will take a day or two before you get your Vietnamese visa..
Is that true, cause then I need to implement a few days in Phnom Penh..
The guy in Sihanoukville will usually do it while you chat with him. Fast service costs more when you are getting a VN visa. There is one day service in PP as well. Just costs more. PP has several days worth of sightseeing. Drop off your passport as soon as you get to PP, visa will be ready the next day. I use Lucky, Lucky Motorcycle Rentals, but all GHs will get a VN visa for you. Good luck.
Hi,
To apply for a tourist visa to Vietnam, you have to submit an application form with one or two passport-sized photographs (procedures vary) and the fee. The visa shows specific start and end dates indicating the period of validity within which you can enter and leave the country. The visa is valid for entry via Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang international airports and any of Vietnam’s land borders open to foreigners
Hope this help
