Hi All,
Anyone???
Hello Mr P!
I am from Boston and have been to most of the places you mention (save for New Orleans and Toronto). I have been to Montreal twice and it is lovely but it's not as "French" feeling as I thought it would be before I went there. I think sacrificing a day or two to go to Niagara Falls (Ontatrio side!) would be worth it if you haven't been. It's on the way from Boston to Toronto if you are driving and quite close to Toronto if you fly into that city. It is really remarkable to see for the first time!! Boston is lovely if you like old cities with a lot of history and museums; shopping and food are good too but nightlife is not so exciting. You will not do that much more in 6 days than you would in 5 so taking a day away from Boston should be fine. **DO go on the ducktours when you are here though...it's quite touristy but very interesting...I am a local and even I learned fun facts about Boston that I didn't know.
Also, 6 days in LA is a bit much in my opinion. I did a lot in a long (4 day) weekend there...1 day for Hollywood, Melrose Ave, and Beverly Hills (combined) is plenty and a few days exploring other areas...Santa Monica is beautiful so you should go there. Everyone recommends driving up the coast to Big Sur (1/2 way between LA and SF) so perhaps that is a plan you could consider. I haven't done it yet but will be doing it next month during my two week tour of the western US. Google some pics online...it looks amazing.
Hope I was at least a little bit helpful. Have a great trip! And, btw, Las Vegas is one of my favourite cities in the US...soooo much to do so have a blast there but don't lose too much! HAHA

Thanks so much David, really appreciate the tips. Have to agree with you on Vegas as well, gotto be one of my favourite places in the world, although have my wife with me this time so doubt I'll get the chance to spend too much lol.
Well, the only problem I have with that itinerary is that it doesn't include the time to go from place to place--which in some cases will take most of the day.
So, I suggest--
Boston--4 days
Boston to Toronto-1 day
Toronto-2 days
Toronto to Niagara Falls-1 day
At Niagara Falls and back to Toronto-1 day
Toronto to New Orleans--1/2 day
New Orleans-3 1/2 days
New Orleans to Las Vegas--1 day
Las Vegas-3 days
Las Vegas to Los Angeles--1/2 day (with in/out of airport time)
Los Angeles airport to anywhere in LA area--1/2 day
Los Angeles--3 days
Los Angeles--back to airport area (1/2 day)
Los Angeles flight to Boston--1 full day
Sorry if this seems like you spend a lot of time getting from place to place, but your total journey (distance-wise) will be over 5,000 miles once you get to the US--and you'll have to clear security everytime you go to the airport--and then clear the airport (which can take forever in places like LA).
Hope you enjoy your trip--and see lots despite many airport trips.
Yeah I totally see what you're saying, although due to the need to catch up with various people in each place we have little choice. Will hopefully be able to get direct flights for the most part.
