I'm thinking around August. I have a good budget but I want to do the whole shoestring backpacking travel as I am going on to Australia later in October.
At the moment I am doing my homework on the places, so have not planned a route. Judging by what people are saying, central Thailand will be hot and humid, it may be better to stick to coastal routes. I am also interested in travelling on to Cambodia, Loas and Malaysia. Anywhere where there is fun and great experiences.....

Yes, definitely. Interested in Cambodia, Laos, etc. August sounds good, and I ain't got much cash either, so "shoestring" sounds perfect.
How are you doing research? I keep looking, but most sites are commerical spam trying to get me book a tour, hotel, etc. with them.
Also, do you have Facebook? Might be easier to chat via there...
Hi Kerpebbles - I'm 30 and heading to SE asia in august. going to be landing in bangkok 5th August - looking for people to travel around with, thinking about going to Koh Tao for diving maybe full moon party then head north and would like to go to Laos and maybe go down the mekong not got loads of plans still thinking and also want to go with the flow!

I am from India though currently I am in Germany. I can understand how u feel about traveling solo because I am traveling solo to Amsterdam on 2nd June. And all I know is that i wanna have fun!!
Anyways, You intend on coming to India?? If yes, what interests you more??? parties? beaches? hills? big cities? would be glad to help!!! also Thailand is good!!! a German friend of mine had been there and she still talks about it!!!

Hey Kerry,
Myself and a friend of mine (both Irish, 28) are travelling to Vietnam & Cambodia for 3 weeks from October 11th. Flying into Hanoi and working our way down through Vietnam to Ho Chi Min City for most of it, last few days in Cambodia & flying out of Bangkok (2nd Nov).
Apart from that, no real plan and will be making it up as we go along!!
I'm not sure how those dates fit with your plans but if it suited to meet up somewhere along the way that'd be cool.. No more than yourself, we'd be very easy going & are looking forward to taking things as they come on the trip..
