Is this regarding some accommodation you booked on Travellerspoint?
No, I booked a hotel apartment for two nights (01 & 02 November, 2012) in Oslo by hostelworld.com. But UDI website mentioned that only hotel booking is not sufficient to get VISA. You need entire period booking (06 months: 01 November, 2012 - 30 April, 2013) with rental contract / deed / lease agreement (whichever is applicable for me) from the landlord.
Pls help me to solve this issue. This is very urgent. Thanks
There's not really anything we can do to help. We are neither the booking provider, the Norwegian government or the property you made a booking with.
Have you tried getting in touch with the property you made the booking at? Their contact details should be in an email you received from Hostelworld.
To be honest, I'd have deleted this post as it almost looks like a scam.
I guess you are just trying to get some assistance, but NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND should ever put up the money for this in advance. The risk here should be yours. There's been a lot of cases documented in the media here recently regarding people abusing the 'skilled job seekers' visa (kebab shops employing 5-10 skilled managers from abroad in a 6 month period for example), so I can understand that they have maybe put some more regulations in place. They also seem unreasonable in the case of people that don't know anyone in Norway, but I think most people they are trying to stop actually do know others here that could help them with these documents.
If you don't know anyone here in Norway, and don't already have a job lined up, I think they are looking for you to show a certain level of commitment to coming here, so you would have to pay/arrange for these things up front.
Thx for ur reply. But the fact is I want to rent an accommodation for six months. It should be reasonable / cheap. Pls give me any contact information regarding this issue or send me rental contract or something like that. Also let me know payment procedures. It will be better if I pay after getting VISA / reaching Norway. If u need anything else pls let me know urgently. I need to submit these docs to the UDI.

Why don't you contact a company that does long term rentals? This is your visa application, not mine... Cost for 6 months at a cheap shared room in Oslo probably starts around 30 000 NOK, but I'm not sure they'd have shared rooms available. You might want to get in touch with a bunch of hostels etc and see if you can book directly with them at a discount for a longer period. I'd still expect you'd be looking at 30k NOK minimum though
