I will do a trip to Spain for a few weeks and I need to have WIFI to connect my laptop and cellphone. Anyone know how I can get it?
There were cell phone provider stores in all the Spanish cities I went to that sold data sims for an unlocked phone. However, I ended up not buying a data sim because I had wifi in all the hotels and hostels I stayed in. I was able to get email and do a little research while I was in the hotel and the only reason I used my phone while out and about was to find my way back to my hotel. Because I had dropped a pin in MAPS on my iPhone for all my hotels, I didn't need data access, only gps which is free. I tried to remember to cache the local map before I left the hotel but even when I didn't and just had a grey screen, the red and blue balls were all I needed to find my way back.
It does depend on where you go in Spain. Very touristy places like Benidorm has little wifi yet down south in Nerja, it seems to be everywhere in accommodation, bars, eating places, etc.
You can plug in your laptop in internet cafes.
