I was just wondering if anyone had any input/experience about the pros and cons of each visa.
It is so incredibly easy to get the WHV that cash jobs are rare. Employers get hit with huge fines if they get caught, so only the worst of employers would even consider hiring for cash. The difference in price is 260 AUD, which is worth it without question in my mind as you'll have access to about 1000x the number of jobs... Also, if you don't have 5k saved up, you will be in a dire situation after not too long if your only option is taking cash jobs or working for accommodation. And yes, no one really checks you actually have the 5k.
