After a few months my shoes have let me down. The sole has parted from the uppers. Has this happened to anyone else?
I will be contacting the manufacturer and hope for replacement or refund.
Merrel has gone downhill over the last few years, quality is not what it used to be.
Cheers,
Terry
Must admit that I have never had a problem with my Merrells and i swear by them, although they do wear out for me after about 2years. Having said that, i wear mine virtually everyday, and in every kind of terrain/conditions you can think of, so i generally only expect my shoes to last 1year-18months.
For me, in all cases when they do wear out, it is the padding/strip at the back of the heal (not on the sole) that wears out first.

I have had the same experience! I love my Merrells. I've owned four pairs of Merrell shoes: hiking shoes, ankle high hiking shoes, winter boots, and flip flops. I have loved each and everyone of them. I would give them another shot- buy them at a store that you can return them in however many days after wearing them if you're not satisfied. I believe you can do this at REI.
Regardless, best of luck,
