So, I'm off to Melbourne for 3 months on June 12th to September 15th, travelling alone on a working holiday visa and hoping to find work in Melbourne and maybe go to Sydney for the last 2 weeks.
I am totally new to this! I've never even been outside of Europe and I'm a bit nervous if I'm honest, but I just wanted to have an adventure in the time I have off uni.
My question is, what part of Melbourne should I stay in? I want somewhere lively with lots of other travellers to make friends with. St Kilda looks
good, but I'd like more suggestions.
Annnnnnnd also, I'm planning to stay in the first hostel for a month, and then see what happens after that, do people normally do this?
I'm also scared that I wont make friends! Any tips?
Forgot to add - If anyone is travelling to Melbourne around the same time get in touch
Anyone?
Hi!
Fitzroy is a nice area (and maybe slightly cheaper)?
I'm from melbourne - planning on travelling to Europe mid August, but happy to show you around and introduce you to some people, before my travels
Cheers!
Hi Dorothy,
I'll be in Aus from October 2013 for 6 months...
We may cross paths at some point?
Ben
