frankly speaking £2500 are not enough if you want to stay in deluxe hotels. in this budget for this long period either you have to stay in home stay or in standard class of hotels.
and you can not choose flights to travel within the cities. you have to travel by bus or by train.

1) I plan to climb Everest base camp. Is it best to book while I am there, and how much does it cost to book this? I have seen companies that do it from the UK but it seems far too expensive.
I dont know the details you need. But please do ask some body who has done this before instead of coming to India and then inquiring.
2) I am looking to do a yoga retreat for a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone could advise a good and cheap place to go. Again it is very expensive to book in the UK and ma looking for something that suits my budget.

They manufacture their own medicines, publishes research reports, have major hospitals and is trusted by many in India. They do have Ayurvedic retreats. Their cost will be minimum and the quality will be the best. But luxury might be low.
