Which city is better for what? I'm a student looking for a fun weekend trip (2-3 days). Looking to hear the best/ worst about both cities.. if any of you have ever been...
Prague was amazing. Pub crawls, river cruising on the weir, the castle district, black light theatres and the clock tower, king Wenceslas square. Heaps to do and it's a beautiful place. Down side was The currency - they use the Czech crown there and everything sells for several hundred crown. It ends up being very reasonably priced and the Czech stores accept euros but will give you change in the Czech crown (and don't give a very good exchange rate).
Vienna was also really nice, there is a schnapps museum that's really awesome to visit, pretty good night spots and the Schoenberg Palace, Swarovski and Mozart everywhere. Both places are awesome but if you're just after a great weekend I'd say go Prague - and check the Drunken Monkey out for beer pong
Hope this helps
Hi, I'd say 100% prague (a good alternative might be budapest or krakow)
it's cheaper, nicer, more lively.
-edit-
I hope this can help
"Suggest you visit both as you will enjoy both as they are very near, about 4 hours train journey. :-)"

If your looking for a 'fun weekend trip,' forget Vienna and go to Prague and Budapest. You'll save money too. Budapest's ruin pubs make the nightlife in this underrated European capital unique and a whole lot of fun.
If you're focus on fun - your question is not too difficult - prague, prague, prague!
Both places are great, but for a good weekend there is only one choice, Prague!
As others have said though, if you can get to Budapest instead, DO IT!
Both of them are amazing! But Prague always manages to steal my heart. You can guarantee yourself great fun by finalizing Prague!
