Can anybody tell me if this a good time to go. I'm off round America in September and its either this or go back to Blighty and then do the trail in May.
Alternatively, I was thinking Central America/Northern countries of South America Nov-Apr then The trail in May. Again, any pointers are greatly apprieciated.

November isn't such a good month for trekking, if you could even come a month earlier then the weather should be better. The Inca Trail is already sold out for May - you can check -snip- at this website.
