Iv spent the last year or two travelling around and volunteering in Nepal and south east asia, but now i want to try something different! I want to go to Madagasca as I know of a good charity over there, and then if i have enough money id like to give south america a go. But to go straight there would mean that i've have to hang around here for atleast another 8-12 months working, which i realllllyyy dont wanna do! So im gonna head to australia and new zealand to work and save up. any advice? or anyone thinking of doing something similar? Planning on leaving june/july time.
I travelled all around Oz a few years back. Not much work going apart from in Melbourne, which was the best city anyway! Lots of seasonal work all year round (google for list, like F1, festivals etc) or apply to work during the winter ski season ( June -October), in resorts near Sydney. The weather won't be what you imagine Australia should be if you go in June (it's summer over there now) but I'm sure you'll enjoy it anyway.
I was in NZ just after the winter so it was the off-season, didn't look to be too much work outside of hostels. Nice and relaxing to travel through all that beautiful landscape though
