Hey Everyone
I would take a cheap phone and get a pay-as-you-go sim when you get to Oz and wouldn’t take an iPad or Laptop. Every hostel you stay in will have internet and skype facilities – so that won’t be a problem.
I found it annoying how many people would sit around in the common area of a hostel not talking to anyone, but instead playing on their iPad etc, it is a barrier to meeting people!
