2 weeks, $2500, flexible dates: where would you go?

im looking to get away sometime this summer (so, somewhere between the end of june-end of aug). i have about 2 weeks, and around $2500 to spend. i dont want to take an overly long flight (i probably will be flying out of toronto). most likely traveling alone.

There are 3 places I would consider the first is London although the British don't consider themselves as being part of europe. The flight from your location will be about 6 hours. There is more then enough to do in and around London to stay there for a couple weeks. my second choice would be Italy and stay in venice for a while and Rome for the rest of the time. The flight there would be a few hours longer and if your $2500 includes your airfare it could be stretching it a bit but that depends on whether many airlines are having any summer sales or not. My third choice would be Barcelona Spain, great place lots of different kinds of things to do but 2 weeks might be a bit long for there. Hope this helps a little but what is most important is that you do your research for the places you are thinking about going to so you know what each place has to offer as to your liking.

Hi there!

I would aslo go to Europe if I where you!
But, different then the guy answered before me: I would suggest to go to Barcelona in the first place. It's an amazing city. I'm there myself at the moment and it's incredibly beautiful. And believe me, 2 weeks might even be too short for Barcelona! There is so much to see and to do!

As the weather probably will be perfect in the summer, you'll be able to relax and sunbathe at the beautiful longstreched beaches! Whatever you looking for, Barcelona has it: Architecture (Gaudi), Culture, Parcs, Beaches, Shops, Mountains, Museums, Restaurants, Clubs... and believe me... I can go on for a while like this.

My second choice would be Italy, Rome - In my opinion this city is a big museum itself. You'll be enchanted by the beauty of this cultural city!
London & Berlin are great places for a two week holiday as well. Check accommodations, flights, see where your interests are and make your decision

Good luck!

Many of the kids in Europe are on holiday throughout July and August so all the prices go right up on travel and accommodation, and there are crowds everywhere. It can also be very hot then.

Go southern Europe in mid-September and I would expect good weather, lower prices, and less tourists about with people back at work.

Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, south of France, etc. Lots of places to see and things to do depending on what you like. Some cheap airlines in case you fancy a two centre holiday (so two bases for days out).
