I will be travelling europe this summer and i was wondering how the interrail passes work and whether they are better than booking each train seperately?
Do i just show the pass at the ticket desk?
I will be getting a trains from:
Rome to Venice,
Venice to Budapest,
Budapest to Brasov,
Brasov to Sofia,
Sofia to Istanbul.
Hi Amy Ive joint here so when i come with you i have more knowledge than i do now :-P xxx
I'd say that it's all depending on some different things.
1. How many days are you planing on spending in each city?
2. How long time will the travels in between take?
3. How much money do you want to spend?
I've got a page of information I could link but it's in Swedish, therefore I'm not sure how much help it would give you.
As an answer to your "Do I just show the pass at the ticket desk" question, I think yes. At least, when traveling in Sweden, you show your ticket to the conductor. With that said I should add that I've never traveled with an InterRail Pass. Planning on this fall though. Let me know how it all works out!
