Hi,
Hey Lisa!
I'm in a similar situation, just out a relationship and feeling like I need 2 get away. Like urself I've always wanted 2 travel. I have a couple cousins dotted about Australia so I'm thinking I'll go there on a working holiday visa and travel about a wee bit, as I've been before on holiday and loved it. Where are u thinking about going?

Problem is we own a property together & i have no idea how long its going to take to sort out, so i dont really have an idea as to when i can get away... I dont even know if im making the right decision or not!! Head is well & truly all over the place!!!

Hi Lisa, travelling can be amazing way to find yourself - but it can also be lonely. Is there anyone close to you who you would consider travelling with? E.g. a best friend? Even if they didn't want to travel for a long period, you could always travel out together and then you would have some company while you make friends. Travelling is a fantastic way to meet new people if you throw yourself in head first. I hope the sale of your house goes well and just follow your heart
I am planning on going to the States in July/August time for about a month!x
As soon as you get your finances figured out and all the papers are signed then get a flight to Bangkok, head south to the beaches and veg out with lots of partying. When you get bored of that you will have learned about countless other inexpensive and easy travel options/destinations in SE Asia.
Don't worry about a travel partners, Thailand is FILLED with nervous first timers just like you. Stick to the Gringo Trail and you'll meet tons and tons of other travellers. The country is inexpensive with a great backpacker infrastructure yet offers a completely foreign experience from what you're used to.
Break out. Do something completely new. Save the trip to bloody Texas to see bloody relatives for another time.
Good luck and have fun.
Cheers,
Terry
you can go to china, it has many different cultures and native people in the same land, china also has many beautiful spots , cheers
