What extension (forum language) does this forum use? Is there a cheat sheet showing examples of syntax? If it's a commonly-used package then we can search for the documentation showing all the trickier things besides just font size, bold, and italic.
It's all custom written; no standard package. And not really all that many non-trivial codes, either. The buttons (right above the textarea in which you write replies) cover them all, I think (together with the smilies right below). Clicking all of them once to see what output they generate should tell you everything you need to know.
There's significant overlap with the wiki - see - although photos, isin, quickfacts, tables, and footnotes from that page don't work in the forum.
