Hello all,
is the hostel I go to every time I'm in Sydney. Not nearly as large as the big flag-ship hostels, and way more personable because of that. Its facilities could stand to be improved a notch or two, but that might actually be a good thing, by giving you a more accurate impression of the "average" hostel you'll encounter during your travels. It has an absolutely lovely rooftop terrace though, and its best feature is its location in Glebe, an almost bohemian feeling neighbourhood of Sydney, just outside the central business district. There's an amazing selection of wonderful little cafes, bakeries, used bookstores, etc to keep you entertained there.
Hi Stephanie, sounds like we have similar things planned. Im 23 from Germany, going to Sydney solo on September 8th on a whv. My plan is also to explore Sydney for a bit and find some work to get one money and then head up the coast and explore. i booked 3 nights at a hostel through tech company i booked my trip with, not quite sure anymore what its called. thought id give it a try and then see where it takes me. would be fun to meet up and meet new people out there, so maybe give me a shout when your over there or Facebook me
