I and my husband have a plan for summer trip in the end of August. Can you give me advice about the destination? and things to do there?
I like NT for beach, restaurants. Great bay tour as well. covers one of my trips to NT. I want to suggest another option. An easy day trip via bus is Cool, green, pretty. In the mountains, this is where the rich VN & French had their summer villas. I have heaps of photos of DaLat, plus Or take the overnight bus or train from NT up to Hoi An. HA is a historic city, plenty to see/do. Great beach close by as well. Buses make the run to DaNang or Hue almost hourly. Hue is a great option as well. Historic, plenty to see/do here as well. DaNang is just another large IMO, but it does have a huge beach.
Depending on how many days you have, here is what I suggest. If you fly into HCMC, then I would head for DaLat after sightseeing in HCM. 2-3 days in DaLat, then bus over to NT. 2-3 days of beach, touring, then overnight bus or train to Hoi An. Ladies love HA because of the many tailor shops. Custom made clothes, ready the next day. Do some research if you do want to buy some clothes. There are literally hundreds to choose from. I would read some blogs about what shop to choose. I once saw a fist fight between an unhappy customer and the shop owner. Seems the quality was not what they expected. No refund offered, so the guys decided a fight would settle it. Not a good idea. After 3-4 days in HA for sightseeing, clothes, beach, take the short bus ride to either Hue or DaNang. I vote Hue. Just more to see/do IMO. Plenty of pictures of Hue in my gallery. If you are flying into HAN, then I suggest you take the overnight train or bus down to Hue. Then HA, then overnight bus/train to NT.

I was born in Nha Trang but it's not the reason I suggest you to go there for you trip. If you have never been to Nha Trang, you should plan to stay there for at least 3 nights. There's so many things to do in Nha Trang. I list the destinations below for your reference:
- 4 island tour: it's a must have activity. Cheap and amazing
- Ponagar Cham Tower
- Long Son Pagoda
- Binh Ba island
- Vinpearl
For accommodation, you can choose a hotel along Tran Phu street because it's near the beach and close to everything
