I'm starting my road trip adventure in Minneapolis. I've never been there before, but it is where my grandfather was born, so it feels a little special to be there. I've only planned for about a day in the city. Is there anything that I just have to see? I'm not sure I need to see Mall of America. Is that worth my limited time?
The mall is a giant mall. Kinda "seen one, seen 'em all." Fun with kids because of the amusement park in the middle. On the other hand, for as large as it is, it's quite easily navigable - easy in, relatively compact, easy to get out. Minneapolis and St. Paul are places that I've always wanted to do more cultural things. Not a ton of cultural exploration time when business takes precedence. The museums and galleries and such will present ample exploring opportunities methinks.
