There are quite a few guides online about how much people spend on average each day but I'm taking £8,000 (Visa, Flights, Ultimate OZ and Ultimate East Coast packages are already booked which is another £4000ish) I'll also try and work out there to try and keep my funds up. I'm departing on 25th July and hoping to spend quite a while in Australia before i continue to NZ, Fiji, Asia and anywhere else I decide to go (Though, hopefully I'll be going everywhere!)
Wow £8000 really ? That's £3000 more than me I'm only gonna have about £5000 , no wonder I'm paranoid about running out ha
GBP5000 will get you about AUD8600. Not sure how long you're staying for. Some city CBD sample prices include; schooner of beer $7 -$8, hot breakfast $15-$20, pizza $20, public transport is relatively cheap, taxi to traverse a CBD $15-$20, ***hotel $200+, hostel around $120, attractions about $40. Don't despair suburban and country areas are much cheaper. Hope this helps a bit.
