Hi,
Of course it is right. Why wouldn't it be?
Here is an example for Vienna to Bangkok:
Fares Euro 573
Taxes, fees & charges Euro 437.28
Ticket service Charge Euro 5
Sum Euro 1015.28.
Taxes, Fees & Charges
Below you see the total taxes and fees amount for an adult broken down into its components.
International surcharge (YQ) € 360.00
Passenger Security Charge (AT) € 7.70
Air Transport Levy (QD) € 35.00
Passenger Service Charge (ZY) € 18.11
Passenger Service Charge (TS) € 16.47
And that's what you paid too.
I've got my flights booked with them too, From London to Sydney in September and returning in May 2015 but with a multi flex return ticket. In total I think it was about £930.
The girl we booked it with started to talk about other charges but we had been in the day before and the quote we got didn't include any other costs so she had to not charge us anything else because we already had the quote. I didn't realise it was that much money though.
What do you mean with you didnt realise it was that much money?
There are about 15 ish booking classes just in Economy with the lowest being the cheapest but most restricted (ie no rebooking, no refund) and the highest being the most expensive but also most flexible (rebooking free of charge, refund free of charge). There are classes somewhere in the middle that are semiflexible which means tickets can be rebooked and cancelled against a fee.
Your quote should state the TOTAL ticket price and also your fare conditions.
So should your booking confirmation and receipt by the way.
I think 1800 is quite alot for a ticket to Sydney. Didnt they explain ticket price & fare conditions before you finalised the booking?
One of my mates paid about € 2600 for her RTW ticket
If you have anymore questions about fares, fees, etc let me know - I used to work for an airline
Hey
just a suggestion i booked my flights through STA travel and rang them up done it that way you get the cheapest deal i had a girl called Harriet she sorted me and my friend out flights to sydney on the 26th september. Also a flight up to cairns i would double check the luggage allowance you get with your flight because most of them only allow a specific amount i have got 30kg on my flight out there and return its more than enough as I'm travelling around for 2 years out there on a WHV
