Sorry, but it's a big world out there with limitless options so when you give absolutely zero clue about anything whatsoever regarding your interests, likes/dislikes, style of travel and most importantly budget then any travel suggestion from a stranger on an anonymous internet forum is a meaningless guess.
That said, go to Cuba.

Ottawa, Ontario has Winterlude or the nicer sounding, Bal de Neige in February.
Cold enough to freeze your little buns off but good fun & lots of locals skating the longest skating rink in world.
Also, we almost speak the same language, or with a touch of French just across the river, which freezes so you can drive a car over or be a wimp and take the bridge.
The Canadian dollar has dropped like a led balloon lately so your money should go a ways.

try Malawi,salima is a cool place to check out,so is Cape Maclear,you should try the Thuma mountain hike in salima,its pretty awesome.You could also check out Mulange mountain.
you can try for california because its best place and lots of staying facilities are available there...
