Hey I am heading down to Tulum in February and wanted to know if there are any reasonable bungalows to stay at down there, like something in the $50 or under price range. I was there back in 2006 and I remember there were places for around $20 a night, but I know that times have changed as they do and I am afraid that these places no longer exist. If anyone knows of anything please let me know. Thx
20 dollar bungalows in Tulum are no longer a thing.. Spent a few months working at the Tulum Monkey Sanctuary over the summer, most non-resort type beach accommodation is closer to 100, (like Papaya Playa). It costs around 7 dollars just to camp. Better off staying at hostel in Tulum (Hostel Sheck is the best one) and hitching rides to the beach.
