Who's doing Thailand around mid December????
Millions of tourists will be in Thailand during December and January. Especially close to Christmas and New Years holidays many hotels can be fully booked. This is "High Season" for visiting tourists. Higher hotel prices, higher occupancy in hotels and from some countries higher prices for plane tickets to Thailand than other months of the year. Decent weather.
You will find other tourists in hotels, in bars and pubs, on tours and perhaps even on the plane flying into Bangkok. Do some research on Sukhumvit Nana area and Khao San Road area for hotel location.
