Hi , I am travelling to the USA on Saturday i have not visited for a couple of years .

I had to obtain a 10 year visa from the embassy due to me having to declare a past arrest on my criminal record , all went fine , i now have a full 10 year USA visa with no issues etc. this is my first visit since obtaining my 10 year visa

But i am wondering is there still a landing card to fill in as most people will of used ESTA and also filled in the questions online

So do i still need to fill in a landing card and tick the yes I've been arrested box ? or do i just leave that blank due to me been to the embassy ?!? or is there no landing card !

I am happy to tick the box , but will they ask further questions or will they see i have a 10 year VISA and all is well ?!? as i would not want to answer any potentially embarrassing questions in front of people .

Advice please....I'm a bit panicked over what i might need to do and the questions I might be asked

TYI

Hi,

The questions about criminal records is asked on a VISA WAIVER application, which you do not need to apply for. You have already answered those questions on your VISA application. So - there is nowhere else to tick a box.

You might still get asked questions by the immigration person but just be honest & you will be fine.

Don't worry - there is no point to that, but if you are still in doubt, you could try asking the US CBP your question here

P.S. I should point out that when you arrive and go through Immigration, you are in a line where they separate you from other tourists when they talk to you. So people will not hear what you say unless you say it extremely loud. If there are any extra concerns, they then take you to a separate room for further questioning away from the public.

But since you have a visa already, the airport card they hand you doesn't ask about previous arrests;--it asks about what you are bringing into the US--and when you get to Passport Control/Immigration they ask you about where you are staying or who you are visiting while here, and what is the reason for your trip. Just let them know it's a touristy trip, and you are staying at a hotel, and not visiting anyone since you don't know anyone here. Do that and you'll be fine.
