Hi guys,
I m not so sure about the days from Denver to Mount Rushmore, cause I m not really convinced, maybe there are more places to see during those days.
13_ Denver, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Boulder, Longmont, Rocky Mountain National Park, Cheyenne (DepotPlaza + Wyoming State Capitol)
14: Fort Laramie Scott Bluff NM,Chimney Rock, Carhenge, Fort Robinson
15: Pine Ridge, Wounded Knee ,Badlands
16: Custer State Park , Crazy Horse
17 : Mount Rushmore, Custer, Deadwood, Sturgis Bear Butte
Also during the trip from Sturgis to Arapaho National Wildlife refuge, are there places to see?
thank u guys
Well, I don't see you going to the Grand Canyon, and I think I would take a side trip to Monument Valley and spend more time at the south end of Lake Powell. Lastly, I would consider Yellowstone for a day (Custer Battleground is just a couple of hours east of here). To find the extra time, I would spend less time in Denver (or even go to Santa Fe instead), and I would not spend much time at Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge.
Near Sturgis is Deadwood, which is an interesting old western town.
I notice that you appear to be planning to spend a lot of time camping which should save you a ton of money. I presume this is also why no stop in Las Vegas is planned.
Have a great trip.
