I have a criminal record and want to go and work in Australia
does anyone know what I have to do in particular to be allowed entry
Like most questions about Visas your question is impossible to answer because you give no information whatsoever, not even the basics like what's your nationality.
That said, Australia has fairly strict prerequisites for Work Visas and their Minister for Immigration and Border Protection does not look kindly upon criminal records. Start your research here:
