Me and one of my closest friends are going to start a life of travelling. Quitting our jobs and circling the globe at our own pace. This is not a vacation, we are just simply going to wander from place to place, oddjobs along the way, meeting new people, etc. Never really travelled before so I have no idea about travel visa's and whatnot. All i know is I want to live with no regrets and see as much of the world as possible before i start a life of paying bills till I die. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated especially pertaining to legal procedures of entering different countries(visas,fees,etc).
Figuring out Visa requirements is easy, simply go to the Embassy website of the country you're interested in and all the information is there. Depending on your nationality this can be a fairly easy part of travelling.

Take plenty of money. Generally speaking countries don't like foreigners working but they welcome you visiting as a tourist to spend money.
What nationality are you and what countries are top of your list?
Visas which allow you to work on them are going to be an issue (not to mention finding "odd jobs"; unless you have some special skills, work tends to not just fall out of the trees whenever you feel like it). Assuming you're not yet 31 and from Europe/Canada/Australia/NZ, the other countries in that list will offer a Working Holiday Visa that'll allow you to stay there for a year and work (and they generally have excellent infrastructure to support first time long-term travellers - Australia and New Zealand in particular); but most everywhere else in the world won't have such a thing. The more money you take with you, the easier a time you'll have. Though certainly even a little money will stretch a long way in most of SE Asia and quite a bit of South America.
Thanks for all the feedback. Just to clarify I live in the U.S. Not planning to stay very long in most countries. England, France, and The Netherlands are some exceptions. China as well. Many more countries i have a lot ofbinterest in along the way as well
Been researching visas and it seems that alot of countries i will have no problem traveling through.
