Survive on 300pounds and 200 euros in London/Paris?

Hello all currently in India, which is actually costing me more than I expected. I am now down to only about 300 pounds for London and 200 euros for Paris. I will be staying in London for 8 days and Paris for 5 days. I have already paid for my accommodation and the train ticket from London to Paris. Do you think it's possible to survive with this little money and still be able to do things? Any tips on cheap eats?
I will be staying in Kensington in London. And in Paris I will be staying near gare du nord.
Thanks!

37 GBP/day in London and 40 EUR/day in Paris is not my idea of fun, but it's perfectly doable when you only really need to buy food each day, but obviously you aren't going to be hanging out in expensive clubs or hitting the big time museums, etc. That said, there's loads of websites highlighting lots of cheap/free stuff in either city to easily keep you entertained.

How did India end up sucking more money than you planned?...

Cheers,
Terry

Well, in order to be safe in India as a single female traveller, I need to make sure I have safe taxis, and safe food to eat that isn't going to make me sick....

Cheapest supermarket chains to look for in the UK are Aldi and Lidl, or the more mainstream Asda, Tesco and Morrisons carry plenty of own budget lines for self catering.

If you do want to eat out look for J D Wetherspoon pubs who do maybe the cheapest offers. Same for drinking out.

Ok thank you, that will help!
