(Teachers should know to capitalize the E in English! Same for the A in the month August!)
I mention this now because some "teachers" come into special criticism on the below Thai Visa Expat Forum. Something to do with the quality of some of the foreign teachers in Thailand. On this expat forum there is a section for teachers too.
Will you get paid to teach English? Technically to work in Thailand you are supposed to have a work permit.
Forum search will give you some pointers on normal stuff such as how to handle your money. For hotel help you should include a price range and where. For many tourists a visit to Bangkok, a visit to Northern Thailand and a visit to a beach fills their schedule. For some really young tourists they only think beaches. But expect some rain for August.
