As far as I am aware British citizens can't get a working holiday visa for the USA?
2017 is way, way too far in the future for anyone to venture a guess what state the US economy will be in by then.
In any case Andy brings up a good point, have you done any research about applying for a Work Visa for the US? Unless you have unique/marketable skills then good luck with that...
