Maya, make sure your visa allows you to stay for 3 months.
Don't rely on a single debit card for your spending money. (The card could be damaged, stolen or lost.) If bringing debit and credit cards remember to tell your banks that you will be using their cards n Asia before leaving home. For US dollars you will get a better rate of exchange changing USD in Thailand. Even the rate at the airport on arrival is better than what you can get in the US.
Usually round trip plane tickets work out cheaper than two one way flights. So if you were planning on buying 2 one way flights - do the math!
There are quite a few posts for "solo woman traveler" or similar wording. If this is the first time in Asia read a few of those posts.

I am also planning a trip the 3rd quarter of this year and planning to go to Thailand as well. It's nice to know that you guys love to have a travel buddy and honestly I haven't experience it yet so it's kinda exciting.

I'm currently traveling solo in New Zealand and headed to SE Asia beginning April 6 for three months (flying into KL, Malaysia) and would also be interested in a travel buddy. Thailand is definitely on my list and I'm open to figuring out an itinerary together or just going with the flow based on our interests or what catches our eye. One of my fav hobbies is trying out local street food so any adventurous or at least open-minded eaters would be a huge bonus.
