Help with visiting Singapore

Hey guys

Singapore is now the most expensive city in that part of Asia.

For hotel help you should include your price range per night.

Malaysia and Thailand will be cheaper for hotel rooms.

Malaysia is easy to get to. Bus or train from Singapore.

Lucy,

Some things to do. ..

At the zoo is a popular Night Zoo tour.

Down at marina bay is a hotel built like a cruise ship on top of three skyscrapers, the Skypark? They have a viewing platform up top, or a few times a day free tours of the roof including residents only rooftop spa.

In the same area are the Merlion statue, symbol of the city, and a new attraction of a walkway through giant artificial trees.

Out on Sentosa island are theme parks if that's your thing.

Raffles Hotel is on most people's list though the Long Bar is a fake not original and a tourist trap.

Thank you guys for your help

Try the food centres in Singapore. Seafood, satay.... Most famous are Telok Ayer Market (Lau Pa Sat) And Newton Food centre

Singapore is wonderful there is so much to see and do! So many different cultural centers in one little island. Tons of shopping (or window shopping as it is very expensive) in the many beautiful malls one of the most popular is orchard road. The food is amazing, try the black pepper crab, chicken rice and visit the hawker stands for sombal stingray, oyster omlete and carrot cake! The night life is also very lively however once again expensive, drinks is something best done at home as a drink will easily cost $20. Have one drink at cu de ta (in the marina bay sans) as the view is to die for. Sentosa is overrated in my opinion, but it is the only real beach in the country.

I recently visited Gardens by the Bay and the nearby Marina Bay Sands; and strolled through the Singapore Botanic Gardens. All merit a visit. If you visit Gardens by the Bay, time your visit towards the afternoon so you can stay for the evening light show.

Very helpful comments thanks guys.

Where did you guys stay when you visited? Im trying to find somewhere not too expensive and easy to get to and from the airport.

I stayed at a hostel called the Inn Crowd which was pretty decent - it was years ago though.
