Duhhh! Not everywhere is as safe as you think!
Some good advice, karazyal. I would always have been afraid to hitchhike in a lot of foreign countries. I have done some hitchhiking in the USA some years ago and was always lucky that I had no problems. Of course, it may have been less dangerous then as opposed to now. I am not sure about other countries and would therefore never consider it. You bring up some good points which I always had in the back of my mind.
