USA

Hello,

Best are Washington, DC and Boston--more to see and do by far.

After that are Chicago and Philadelphia (but stay out of south Chicago and stay out of western Philly). Neither of these cities appeal to me all that much, but others like them quite a bit.

Pittsburg would be next and is actually a very pleasant town, but other than the nice colleges and the one great museum doesn't offer to much in the way of sites.

Cleveland has been trying to improve itself--and has the Rock and Roll museum and a nicer downtown than previously, but still would be last on this list as they isn't much to do except for the Rock and Roll museum and the baseball/football/basketball games.

Lastly, let me suggest that while you are near Washington DC you make time to go see both Mount Vernon (just 20 miles south) and Williamsburg (90 miles south). Williamsburg is still exactly like it was in 1680 and they have people who play the part of famous citizens (like Patrick Burke, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson) everyday as part of their historical recreations.

This is so helpful! thank you so much

If you are going to travel to the USA, you need to rent an RV and see all of the awesome places. -snip-

If you have time I would visit some of the smaller towns around Boston. The countryside is lovely and there are little historic towns that are a daytrip or a longer stay, like Concord, Lexington, and Salem. When are you going? If you are visiting in fall then the foliage colors will be wonderful around that area. Washington DC has some great museums and famous sights so it is worth spending at least a couple of nights there. I’m not sure about Cleveland and Pittsburgh but there are certainly attractions to both of those places.
