Do you have a link to that blog, so we can have a look at what's going wrong?
Not every blog hosting service allows users to insert their own HTML - or if you're self-hosting, you might have to use a special "module" or something like that in order to have the HTML treated as "code" rather than as "text".
(If the blog in question here doesn't allow HTML at all, your best best is probably an image of your map, inside a link to travellerspoint, so that people can see the real map "here", but still see a non-interactive visualization of that map on your blog.)

Hi Sander
I use WordPress.com for my blog, no link as such because I've posted without map thus far as I couldn't figure how to just have the visualization of the map on blog with having to just settle for a link. As for whether the website allows it I wouldn't have a clue, I'm not to clued up on the code shenanigans.
Can you elaborate abit more on your last suggestion on how I can achieve that for the next one?
Cheers alot!
I searched a bit, and it seems like wordpress.com hosted blogs aren't allowed to run third-party JavaScript, which is needed to make this work.
So, for my other suggestion, you take a screenshot of the map as you want to show it, and then upload that image to wordpress (under Publish -> Media, and then in the Media Library you want to look for the URL field), and then link the image to http://www.travellerspoint.com/member_map.cfm?user=GreenMachine
How and where to do this exactly depends a bit on the Wordpress.com theme you're using, but assuming you have a sidebar, you can go to the wordpress configuration screen, click on "Widgets" => "Add Widget", select the "Image Widget", drag that to a better position in the sidebar then all the way at the bottom, and then put the URL of the image on wordpress (which you just looked up in the Media Library, and will be something like https://testhtmlcodeon.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/tripmap.png ) into the Image URL field, and the link to your map - http://www.travellerspoint.com/member_map.cfm?user=GreenMachine - into the "Link URL" field.
, - and .

You sir have gone far beyond than you needed too, much appreciate your help and insight!
Legend
Adding links.
Most of the time for simple links I type left bracket [ followed by (no space) url= (then insert complete link here without any space) and close with right bracket ].
Easier to do it than explain it.
