Im also planning on heading out to sydney beginning of 2016 and will be travelling alone so am keen to hear what others plans are etc that are in a similar postion to me! Are you thinking of doing any group tours etc or just figuring it out when your out there?

I am so glad to hear I'm not the only one going solo, I'm planning on going early 2016 aswell. I'm planning on ma be getting some work in customer service or a call centre working and saving experiencing a big city, all the while planning a trip to travel to different parts every now and again? Is it easy to find these kinds of jobs and if so does anyone know where ibshould head to? I'm also interested to know about accomodation and stuff like that too. Any help or advice would be appreciated! I want to hear other peoples plans too so please don't be shy.

I don't have much information at this present time, im getting bit by bit as the days go along. i do know I'm doing the west coast between perth and Darwin may start off in Sydney. I'm hoping to meet up with people like yourself down there and go with the flow. regarding accommodation hostels are an option. I'm an outdoors person so looking for work on a farm maybe occasionally bar work.

Hey I'm going to Oz in February 2016, also going solo, starting in Sydney for a little while then thinking of getting the greyhound up the east coast then doing some farm work I think, anyone else wanting to extend their visa for a second year?
Hey guys it's actually the east coast I'm doing not the west, my bad. my plan was to fly into Sydney however this means I would back track to Melbourne so ideally it be best to go to Melbourne first and make my way up the east coast, doing Sydney, brisbane and cairns. my plan is to stay in each destination for 3 months in a hostel working on farms and when moving on travelling in a campervan. If anyone likes the idea or is doing the same speak up.

Sounds like a good plan! If I'd have thought ahead I would've probably booked to land in Melbourne and done the east coast from there but my ticket is already booked now, think I'm gonna miss Melbourne out for abit and revisit it later so that I don't have to backtrack, had also thought about doing a campervan roadtrip, depends on who I meet whilst out there I guess!
