I'm planning on emigrating to austrailia in 2017 for working holiday of up to one year (hopefully forever) but I'm doing some re search on it and I'd like to know if there is anyone out there who has done this and some helpful pointers would be nice also thank you.

Did you have an idea of what kind of work you wanted to do? If you have a trade or can work in construction there's a decent amount of work to be had. I've come here without one and have been struggling to find work. My boyfriend came as a panel beater/automotive technician and was hired in days. There's plenty of sales commission work that will take working holiday visa holders. There's some shortages on the West coast because a lot of mine workers are being laid off. Heading east and hoping it'll be better. On the plus side, renting is pretty good.
Applying for the visa is pretty straight forward. You can set up a bank account and tax file number pretty easy once you get here. The trickiest part is having enough Aussie identification to get things done (for criminal record checks and stuff like that). Gumtree is a pretty good place to look around for jobs, buying and selling and all that. We found work and bought our car off there. Seek is another job site. Otherwise it's a pretty easy country to navigate, if your first language is English. Easy enough to find a place to stay and they'll rent weekly, monthly or whatever you need (our experience is with share houses). We don't intend to stay longer than our year, so we haven't looked into getting sponsored or anything.
