international SIM cards

Can anyone recommend the best worldwide SIM card to get? I'm totally confused by all the companies who claim to offer the best deal.

A bit expensive - but it still works worldwide... http://www.bramatelecom.com/sim-cards/international/ It is available in Canada as required.

thank you, i will check it out. I'm looking for cheap though...
How about Onesimcard or Telestial or GoSim or globalsimcard??There's so many I'm getting very confused.

I don't know about getting international sims, but I would suggest talking to your cellular provider. I know for sure that most have plans that include using your cell internationally that you can add to your existing plan. I have no idea if they would do what you're looking for, or how much they would cost as I believe it varies from place to place. But I do know there are some. Telus had one for the US that gave you a per minute rate of 25 cents/min *i think* and one for asia as well - don't know the rates.. I would be shocked if Bell and Rogers didn't have them as well. If nothing else, most phones in Canada work internationally and if you were using it for emergencies only it would charge at the per-minute rate depending on wherever you are. I don't know about the costs of data usage.

Thanks for your reply but my cellular provider is Rogers and I really can't wait to cancel my plan. I really don't like their service and they are expensive. I'm planning to just cancel it and when I come back I'll just get a new provider with no monthly plan. Anyways, I lost my cell last year and i've been using my friend's cell until now with the intention of just getting a new cheap one when i go on my 1 year trip and i have to give it back to her before i go. So I'll need to get a global world phone that I can use in all the countries I'll visit and that's why i want to buy an international SIM card. I was thinking of getting a new SIM card in every country I visit but it doesn't make sense to me to waste my time doing that, especially since I won't stay long in each (ecluding Australia where i'll stay for a few months).

So any advice on these different SIM cards would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Is your phone unlocked?
Just pick up a local sim card in each of the countries you are going to be in.. way checpaer than getting a worldwide one...

and use skype!

First, I don't have a phone (read my post). I will need to buy an unlocked global phone. And second, I don't want to get a new card every few days. For my time in Australia I can get a local card since I will stay there for months. And even NZ I could. But for when I'm in California, Cook Islands, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Japan and Singapore etc,I'm only stying a few days in each place so I'd ratherhave a card that works everywhere.

So I'm still waiting to get advice about all the different international cards like Onesimcard ,Telestial ,GoSim or globalsimcard...

Thanks
