Hi my name is jemma and I have just joined this forum site today after a bit of browsing online.... I plan to go to Oz this year in June 2011 for a years working visa. I have some friends in Brisbane that live and work there already so fly out to meet them and stay for a few weeks then the world is my oyster !! I would like to work and travel in Oz but also travel Asia.
hey jemma. im heading to cairns in august then im making my way down to melbourne then going over to nz in jan then to bangkok in feb. dont know if that around same time to any of your plans?

Hi Jemma,
I leave the Uk on the 23rd April for Thailand, where I will spend about 2 weeks. Then I arrive in Sydney on the 7th May Not looking to stay in Sydney long though, do the main sigt seeing then I'm thinking about getting a flight up to Cairns, grabbing some work and making my way by land back to Sydney. I'd like to see Western Australia too but just need to wait and see how things go

Hi Jemma,
I'm heading over to Australia a little earlier than you (around the end of April), also for a working holiday, currently my itinerary is completely open as I want to go with the flow as much as possible!! All I know is I'm flying to Sydney and would like to visit Melbourne to see some old friends. I'm also travelling on my own and am quite nervous, it would be nice to find someone to travel with even for a short amount of time.

Im also travellin alone. I am flying into Cairns begining of September. Probably work my way down the East Coast to end up in Sydney for Xmas and New Year. From then on i have no plans, and will just go with the flow! I will be in Oz until about March - April 2012, which i then plan to go to New Zealand until End of May! I cant wait, i am so excited!
Be Great to meet up out there, party, chill, and just have fun!

I have no plans other than to get to Oz so would like to meet other people wanting to do the same thing, I'm opening to options with flying out my plans are to go to Brisbane first stay there for a few weeks then venture else where. Although doesnt have to be that way as can venture there to meet friends at any time.... I'm looking at flights for the first or second week of June,
I drive so the camper van idea def sounds interesting I have spoken to a few people that have done this before almost like a transporter where u can pick up and deliver from A to B.... but also get to see the sights as well....
I also want to get to NZ Jimmy .... :-) for a short while before leaving and heading to Thailand, Bali and more..... just not sure when as would like to pick up some work before hand but january sounds good along with thailand after
Jemma / Claire where abouts are you both from ? I live in Southampton at the moment. have either of you been to Oz before? Im so looking forward to this but just dont know where to start being on my own is always more fun if you hve some one to share the adventure with... xx
I'm from Aberdeen, so quite a fair bit from you I'm open to anything really, I thought about heading up to Cairns and working my way down to Sydney as I don't want to be in Cairns/Gold Coast area during the wet season incase the weather is like it was this year.
I would also love to go to NZ, but again I have no plans for this... Campervan is another great idea, I'd be up for this. I've not really looked into it though so wouldn't know where to start.

I'm also open to anything, campervan sounds like fun!!! I'm heading out of Sydney and going to Bali/Singapore/Cambodia around the middle of July, but even if I could tag along for a couple of days/weeks that'd be cool.
