An interesting proposition. I know of exchange students living with Omani families, and of researchers living in Omani families to get an insight for their research - such an Mandana Limbert - snip - Yours is a different project and there may be a lot of difficulties and uncertainties in it, but it also has a great potential for unique experiences and extraordinary insights.
Would like to hear more about it. Is any help wanted with finding a suitable family? Institutions such as schools or associations like the Anglo-Omani Society, the German-Omani Associetion, etc. could also help to trace individuals with suitable contacts to Omani families.

Thank you for the information. I will follow up the leads you gave me.
I am going to try and find any people from Oman who might be working in this locality and speak with them also. It would also be great to learn a bit of the language. Although I did find when I was there that a lot of Arabs spoke English especially the children who seem to be learning at school.
