Bristol is generally a good city. Quite big to have everything you need but relatively small compared to many British cities. What kind of job do you want in Britain? Cities in the north (Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool) may be cheaper to stay in. Tom

There are many different ideas of where the line between north and south lies, but I've never heard of anyone suggesting that Cardiff is in the north before.
