I just booked my one-way ticket last week and arrive in Sydney on April 14th. It's the first time I'm traveling overseas and the first time I'm traveling alone. Eek! I'm excited and terrified at the same time. Looking for advice on cheap but safe and clean hostels, cheap and efficient transportation, attractions, etc. Would love to chat with people and maybe arrange a meet up or something.

Hi Felson,
No, I don't really have any plans for Auckland yet - don't even have a ticket. I want to stay on the North Island during the winter though, where I hope it's warmer. I will try to do some HelpX or WWOOFing along the way too. Maybe find a job too.
